These last words inside the brand new Warcry LP/CD struck me as incredibly meaningful. This is what punk has always been about to me, fighting for something you believe in. Screw being the toughest guy on the block, to hell with looking good for your next public appearance. What we have on this CD is 15 brutal tracks of unrelenting Discharge-inspired hardcore punk. This band has members of Tragedy and From Ashes Rise if that means anything to you. The sound is perfect, heavy and hard hitting and the lyrics make for some intense pump-fisting action. A single band like Warcry makes up for the thousands of MTV stars wannabe out there proclaiming their "punk" membership. Get this now!"

Nicht mehr ganz so assi wie die erste 7", klingt hier eher Old School in Richtung HIGHSCORE. (r)

Hier die zweite der neuen WHN? 7"es. Der Sound iss irgendwie dicker als auf den letzten Platten die ich von der Band gehört habe. Liegt wohl auch daran dass das Ding im Morrisound Studio gemixt wurde. Seite B beginnt mit einem Slayer like song - vor allem das Solo iss so was von SLAYER. Dann gibt’s noch ein Midtempo instrumental. Seite A hat einen Song, den ich als klassisch WHN? bezeichnen würde, Thrash, Mosh, Japcore Gesang. (b)

WSPB - sind so brutal. Wer auf die 7" konnte, der wird auch bei den Songs der split LP an die Decke gehn. Superfaster Mix auch NO COMMENT und SUICIDAL TENDENCIES auf 78 rmp. BM iss okay, aber die scheibe braucht man wegen WSPB. (b)

Die Hölle - Mix Intense Degree with early Suicidal Tendencies and add a touch of Infest, but faster. 16 songs. (?)

Austrinken meint: "WITCH HUNT, die aus zwei Mädels sowie einem Kerl bestehen, haben sich Politpunk auf die Wimpel gemalt und das was die dabei bringen ist wirklich ziemlich gut!! Ich würde WITCH HUNT mal als eine verdammt gelungene Mischung aus ANTI PRODUCT und den langsameren Liedern von DISAFFECT bezeichnen und das bedeutet, dass ihr mittel- bis durchaus schneller, räudiger Politpunk, in dem es textlich ausschließlich um die Unterdrückung von Frauen geht, absolut rockt, wobei die Lyrics hier keinen Millimeter aufgesetzt oder plakativ rüberkommen, sondern wirklich durchdacht sind und von daher ist die "Fed up" 7" ein ausnehmend geiler Fünftracker - jedenfalls für mich!!" Die neuste Lp der Schweden. Kickt wie eh und je. Brutaler phatter Sound und sweete Riffs. Wer die bislang gemocht hat, der wird nicht enttäucht. (b)

WOLFPACK - A New Dawn Fades LP (Feral Ward) 9.50 €
Die erste LP der Skandies, damals noch mit dem ANIT-CIMEX Sänger und auch diversen anderen Leuten in der Band als jetzt gegen Ende. Kam auf Distortion damals leider nur in Cd version raus. Hier noch mehr ENTOMBED (mehr der Sound) trifft Skandie D-Beat, aber ein Hämmerchen. (b)

WOLFPACK - All Day Hell CD (C.A.H.) 8.- €
"No, this is not that excruciatingly annoying fat honky rap outfit. This is one of Sweden's greatest hardcore groups on an album that will knock you flat on your face! Allday Hell is like a more bitter and violent combination of Discharge, Nausea, and Disrupt with a heaping helping of Motorhead. The majority of this release was produced by Nasum's Mieszko Talarczyk who has also produced the recent Exhumed and Regurgitate albums. Talarczyk's production is a perfect compliment to Wolfpack's furious hardcore assault. The last four tracks are produced by none other than Thomas Skogsburg. One major plus for me is that this has zero winey hippie political bullshit lyrics that plague the genre. Their lyrics tend to deal with despair, misanthropy and rage yet they make it nice and sparkling clear that they are anti-racist without being pussies about it. Also, don't miss their killer GG Allin cover (I'm sure the king of shock punk is proud and smiling in hell at this very moment). The bottom line is that Allday Hell is ultra high energy hardcore of the highest caliber. That caliber is .44 and it will blow your head clean off without flinching. Hail Wolfpack!" Geilomat: Erinnert mich spontan an ne Mischung aus SWIZ und FURY. Sind Leute von ORCHID und THE LAST FORTY SECONDS. Feines Booklet iss auch dabei. Passt. Gutes Ding find ich - lief mir gleich besser rein als ORCHID z.B. (b)

HAMMER!! Hier singt der selbe wie bei SEVERED HEAD OF STATE und mit dabei is auch Brad von FROM ASHES RISE. Klingt auch stark in diese Richtung, geile Riffs, geiler Gesang, ne HAMMERPLATTE. (r)

Das hier iss der klassische spätachziger Revelation Style Hardcore (CHAIN OF STRENGTH). Oder wie er dann von Bands auf CONVERSION oder NEW AGE aufgegriffen wurde (schnelle OUTSPOKEN oder so). Die Texte sind persönlicher Natur, Mucke klingt gut, hat Power, der Drummer spielte keine Uffda Uffda Beats und das macht das Ganze doch sehr rund und lässt es nach vorne losgehen. Gute Backup Vocals. Guter Retrostuff. Klares Vinyl am Start. (b)
