ULCERRHOEA / SIVILIMURHA - Saatanan split Ep 7" (Vulgar Records) 1.- €
ULCERRHOEA sind zwei Leute aus D-Land, keine Ahnung ob die auch live spielen, aber der Kram iss ultrabrutal und sofort kommt einem NASUM in den Sinn. Klingt die Snare so was arschgeil bei den Blastbeats - geht gar nicht. Im Gegensatz zu NASUM wird hier nicht gegrunzt, klingt eher wie Mieszko bei KRIGSHOT. Leider können SIVILIMURHA da absolut nicht mithalten, die spielen eher biederen Lo-Fi Finnen-Thrash - hätte es als Demo getan. Aber das Teil lohnt sich wegen ULCERRHOEA - gott wie asi. (b)

UMBRELLA / EVERY KID LOVES A CLOWN - split Picture LP (Crucificados) 6.- €
"Umbrella comes from the states .. this band is just crazy .. they play this fast manic and chaotic grind thats reminiscent of bands like as the sun sets or the daughters .. a seamless marriage of manic ferocity and indescribable density .. these songs combine so much so quickly that it is almost dizzying .. but they somehow manage to hold it all together and still take it way up a notch .. flawlessly combining thunderous drums with inhumanly fast blasts squealing highpitched guitars and absolutely manic screams to create a new form of heavy music that is simply beyond description. .. hell on earth what shall i say about every kid loves a clown .. can hardly describe how good they are .. combination of metal grind free jazz electronics and pure melody make up the bulk of their songs .. they have matured and come into a sound all their own .. a sound which is as unpredictable as it is intense .. xylophones electronic drums and synthesizers are also a staple of this release .. once again proving that every kid loves a clown are not traditional in anyway .. ex members of the avenging disco godfathers of soul .. it sounds like a consistent further development of tadgos .. you will love them". von der Crucificados Seite.

Die letzte 7" von der Band und mit der anderen 7" auf New Age, die kurz davor oder danach rauskam ihr bester Shit. Wenn die Live.Love.Regret Lp in dem Sound und der Power gekommen wär, dann wär alles zu spät gewesen. Zwei Killer Songs. (b)

Leck mich am Arsch. UNCURBED bewegten sich für mein Empfinden bislang immer so in der zweiten Schwedenliga. Aber gleich die ersten beiden Songs sind so die Zerstörer, der Rest natürlich auch. Die Mucke jetzt in einer Klasse mit WOLFBRIGADE oder SKITSYSTEM. Jo - iss die Vinylversion von der CD auf Sound Pollution. (b)

UNCURBED - Punks on Parole LP (Sound Pollution) 8.- €
"16 new anthems of punishing Swedish hardcore punk, bombarding sound. UNCURBED's 3rd LP on Sound Pollution, and if you heard the other two you know what you are in for. Consistently one of the greatest bands on the planet. It is difficult to put into words how hard this band rocks, if you haven't discovered their greatness yet, get your head out of your arse and hear what you have been missing. "The music is so thick and driving that you've gotta hear it to believe it. UNCURBED is the MOTORHEAD of hardcore....A candidate for album of the year and it is only January" Crass Menagerie. UNDER A DYING SUN - s/t LP (City Boot Records) 8.- €
Teilweise energische teilweise sehr relaxte Emoband aussen Staaten - deckt also ein breites Spektrum von Emotionen ab. Würd ich irgendwo zwischen alten EBULLITON Sachen und NO IDEA Kram verorten, der nicht so ballert. Karton Cover, mehrseitiges Booklet mit Texten, Statements und Bilder. Gut gemacht - was Mucke und Drumrum abgeht. Würd ich Leute uneingeschränkt empfehlen, die auf diesen Style können. (b)

UNDER PRESSURE - Still no Future LP (Sound Pollution) 8.- €
Totally out of control hardcore thrash from Winnipeg Canada with more bad ass riffs than thought possible. Still No Future mixes intense fast hardcore with some killer ZEKE style rock riffs plus one hell of a recording for maximum damage. UNDER PRESSURE is not a new band as much as it is a continuation from where its predecessor, GUNS, LIQUOR & WHORES (10" and LP releases on Sweden's Putrid Filth Conspiracy, two week U.S./Canadian tour), left off. UNDER PRESSURE's objective hasn't changed; play fast heathen hardcore that does away with stagnant trends and insincere messages. (vom Label) Die im Review angekündigte Lp von GUNS, LIQUOR & WHORES gibts noch nicht, aber ich bin schon gespannt wie ein Flitzebogen, weil ich die 10" geil fand. Ach ja, also UNDER PRESSURE sind GLW mit nem anderen Gitarristen, der rest stays the same. (b)

UNDYING - At History's End LP (Scorched Earth Policy) 7.- €
North Carolina's Undying have returned after a lengthy hiatus and have bestowed upon us their much anticipated follow up to "This Day All Gods Die" which was re-released by One Day Savior Recordings two years ago. "At History's End", recorded by Bill Korecky (Integrity, Catharsis, Terror) at Mars Recording Studios, is a testament to Undying's lasting ability to create crushing, driving metallic hardcore at a breakneck speed while still implementing a large European metal influence of delicate, beautiful melodies. This also features the impressive debut of new vocalist, Logan White, who effortlessly maintains the passionate and sincere vocals Undying is known for. A definite must have for fans of intricate, dynamic, melodic metal. (?)

5 Songs von 1994 von einem wie der Titel schon sagt "unveröffentlichten" Demo, aber wer hat da bei UNHOLY GRAVE (siehe auch AGATHOCLES) noch den Überblick ??? Trotz Demo geht der Sound o.k. und wer auf die verrückten Japan-Grinder steht, wird auch an dieser Platte nicht vorbeikommen. Ich kann mit ihrem Sound nicht so viel anfangen, find's hier aber noch o.k., da die Vocals nicht ganz so übertrieben sind, wie auf anderen Releases. (bt)

Blindspot schlagen hier schon brutaler rein, als auf ihrer CD auf Per Koro. Konnt ich dir mit dem Gesang nicht so warm werden, hier klappt das irgendwie besser, obwohl auch nicht viel anders. Sound und Songs brutal. Geballer in dopem Sound. UNHOLY GRAVE klingen wie immer. Crust and Grind galore mit Fear of God Style gesang. (b)

Norcal's UZI SUICIDE play straight forward fast HC not unlike a more punk INFEST. AFter a self-released debut EP and comp tracks (appearing on the Bay Area Thrash Demolition Vol II comp) UZI SUICIDE went into House Of Faith to lay down an EP's worth of quick time changes, gruff vocals, and no BS.
