Die erste Lp der Band aus Kanada auf Ugly Pop war schon sehr sweet. Midachziger Speedcore Thrash. Wer auf alte ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT und ACCÜSED stand, der war begeistert, auf der neue ham sie für meinen Geschmack nen leichten LAST IN LINE Touch dazugefügt, aber das geht okay mit mir, den die Band find ich auch geil. Also - volles Brett ne, ein sehr gutes Cover von nem LEFT FOR DEAD song und das Artwork von Mike Bukowski. Prall. (b)

Jo, Demo war schon ganz okay, und deshalb gibt’s das dann auch auf Vinyl. Felix Havoc macht jetzt auch einen auf Reagan Era Hardcore. Geht okay, kommt aber an die Geilheit von CODE 13 net dran - iss auch andere Mucke. Hier noch bissel blabla von ihm "This is essentially the demo on vinyl. Midwest DIY hardcore, with members of Code 13, Any Last Words, Sweet Jap, Encroach, Miles Ahead and lots other bands you've never heard. Damage Deposit plays critical thrash with sick breakdowns. Frequently compared to DYS mixed with contemporary bands like Tear It Up and Shark Attack. Lyrically this record takes on issues in the contemporary scene, political corruption and the destruction of the environment.". (b)

Daughters burst forth, middle fingers raised high, with an unreal debut full-length of ultra-brutal grind-influenced screaming chaos. These songs combine so much so quickly that it's almost dizzying, but they somehow manage to hold it all together and still take it way up a notch. Immersed in a genre that's dangerously close to total overkill, Daughters are actually making technical and chaotic music original again, flawlessly combining thunderous drums with inhumanly fast blasts, squealing high-pitched guitars (that can almost be mistaken for keyboards at times) and absolutely manic screams to create a new form of heavy music that's simply beyond description. Necessary noise interludes allow the listener to catch their breath before the cacophony continues, with breakdowns so huge that it's amazing the studio didn't collapse when the album was recorded. Oh Schreck, schon wieder GODSTOMPER... wollen die vielleicht AGATHOCLES oder UNHOLY GRAVE in Sachen Output-Record nacheifern? Das Drum'n'Bass-Duo (Achtung: 2 Leute, einer an den Drums - einer am Bass... hat nix mit dieser Elektro-Schnarch-Musik zu tun!) aus Kalifornien ist hier mit weiteren 12 Krachern vertreten und bietet gewohnten derben Sound.... Voll überrascht und TOTAL überzeugt haben mich allerdings DAYBREAK, von denen ich bis dato nix zu Ohren bekommen hab'. Gleich 17 zumeist kurze energiegeladene Songs, mal gebolzt, mal emotionell und voller geiler Ideen und Breaks... meine Empfehlung!!! (bt)

Billy von TRAGEDY/FAR brüllt in bestem BASTARD Style ins Mikro, Todd und Paul von TRAGEDY ham die Instrumente getauscht und spielen Schlagzeug und Gitarre, Brad von FROM ASHES RISE iss an der zweiten Gitarre. Mucke - Mix aus altem US Hardcore, schnellem Japan und Skandi shit mit ner durchschlagenden Produktion. Scheissgeile Band, scheissgeile Platte. (b)

Hätt ich eigentlich gedachte, brauch man von denen nochmal ne neue Platte? Aber Mind Control schmeisst eigentlich nur geile Sachen raus. Chatchy Nietenpunk aus Portland. Kommt in nem Gatefold Cover und nem Poster vom Cover. (b)

Noch ne italienische Band, die mich von ihren Sounds teilweise an ANANDA erinnert. Kratzig, bissel Metal, echt französische Songstrukturen haha.,.. ne... aber doch.. haha.. Jedenfalls ham sie hier 5 Songs drauf, 4 davon alle so um die 6 Minuten +/- ein paar Sekunden. Lassen sich also Zeit mit dem Aufbau der Songs, gut gemachte Übergänge, mal lautere Parts, dann atmosphärische Stellen, mal leise Akustikparts . Teilweise iss der Gesang bissel gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber meist recht druckvoll und kratzig. Derber, tiefer Gitarrensound. Geht klar mit mir. (b)

Nach diversen Samplerbeiträgen und ner Demo cdr jetzt die erste offizielle Full-Length. Metal gibt's, der bissel abwechslungsreicher ist als z.B. CALIBAN dafür halt auch nicht diese typischen E-chord Mosh-parts am Start hat... Ein andere Sänger übrigens als bei den anderen Sachen, hat aber irgendwie mehr Druck. (b)

So, hier die zweite DESTINY Full-length. Und yo - also für das wasses iss isses ziemlich geil. Heavy, aber sauberer Metal mit Druck im unteren Bereich. Stehen wohl Leute drauf, die auch auf Poison The Well und Shai Hulud können. (b)

So, alles drauf was die end 80ziger/frühneunziger Crusten rausgehauen haben. Hab irgendwie alles bis auf die Lp, weiss eigentlich nicht, warum ich mir die damals nicht geholt habe, denn die 7" fand ich immer supergeil. Insgesamt 48 Songs von der Band um Felix Havoc. Fragt sich sicher der ein oder andere wie man das am Stück durchhören kann. Muss man ja nicht, schafft man aber hehe. Rats-ass-geil. (b)

Die drei Liedchen von DFA - aus der gleichen Session wie die Songs auf der split mit BONES BRIGADE - rocken beser als auf der zweiten Lp, gehen wieder eher in richtung der ersten Lp. Mid-late 80ties-Speed/Skatecore. UNDER PRESSURE, eigentlich die GUNS, LIQUERE & WHORES Besetzung mit neuem Gitarristen, sind eher rockiger, aber vom Sound her auch recht dreckig. Irgendwie diese neue R'n'R Schule, wie eben sie z.B. die Band R´N´R praktiziert. Verzerrter Gesang und viel Drive. (b)

"Nachdem das grandiose Demo und die ebenso gute Single schon so langsam in Vergessenheit geriet, kommt das 14 Track starke Album (mit einem The F.U.'s Cover) gerade noch rechtzeitig, um die Band wie-der aus der drohenden Versenkung zu katapultieren. Die Aufnahmen haben mich so begeistert, dass ich für die CD Version mein Zustimmung nach weniger Minuten signalisieren konnte. Die Band (u.a. mit ex-Luzifers Mob, Dead Beat, Stack, Fear Is The Path...Members) versteht es problemlos total treibenden, extrem ein-gängigen HC-Punk abzuliefern, ohne dabei ins billige Schema "F" der unsäglichen D-Beat und Schweden-Clown Epigonen zu verfallen. Geprägt vom alten Euro- und US-HC, ohne dabei antiquiert und langweilig zu klingen, bewegen sich die Stücke sich meist im Midtempobereich, sind durch die rotzige, angepisste Attitü-de und die mitreißenden melodischen Gitarren-Hooks, mit reichlich Wiedererkennung ausgestattet. Das an-sprechende Artwork, 16-seitige Booklet, 180gr. schweres Vinyl und die satte Produktion (im Geiste des '80er HC-Soundes) runden dieses packende Album vollends ab. So, rechtzeitig zur Eurotour noch die neue von den Brasilianer. Wie auf ihrern vorangegangenen Veröffentlichungen drücken sie das Gaspedal durch's Bodenblech. Der Vergleich zu LÄRM, hhmm weiss nicht, ob der noch aufrecht zu erhalten ist, die Brasilianer sind wesentlich tighter und straighter als es LÄRM je waren, bevor sie sich vor ein paar Monaten noch mal reformierten. Das Teil rockt, freu mich auf die Show nächste Woche mit I SHOT CYRUS. 18 Tracks. (b)

Die Mucke erinnert mich von den Riffs vom Ansatz ziemlich stark an schnelle UNIFORM CHOICE/UNITY, wobei der Gesang ins ne andere Richtung geht, nicht zu hoch wie der von Pat Dubar und irgendwie auch angenehmer. Somit fährt das Teil auch nicht auf ne Youth-Crew Schiene, obwohl Elemente benutzt, aber eben geschickt umgesetzt werden, dass man nicht beim ersten Hören gleich denkt: Schnaaaaarrch. Anders als der übliche Retro-Thrashcore, denn die Band klingt so, als wäre sie wirklich schon 17, 18 Jahre alt und dazu noch originell. Cover von Mike Bukowski, der Sachen für RAMBO, SHARK ATTACK, BLOODPACT, RUINATION etc. gemacht hat. Demnächst kommt ne Lp auf Dead Alive. (b)

Vor kurzem hab ich mir auf der DEADALIVE site ein mp3 von der neuen lp runtergeladen und war etwas enttäuscht. Im nachhinein muss ich sagen, ich muss an den Ohren gehabt ham an dem Tag. Das Ding knallt genauso gut wie die 7". Für diejenigen, denen der Name nix sagt: die Jungs kommen aus Massachusetts, spielen ne Mischung aus altem Boston Hardcore mit leichtem NY Touch - und das knallt. Meistens superflott nach vorne, aber teilweise sind die Songs im direkten Vergleich zur 7" etwas ausgefeilter - hab ich jedenfalls das Gefühl. Sweet. (b)

Bislang ham die Schweden eher mauen Kram rausgebracht. Die beiden Lps und 7"es bewegten sich eher in der Kreisklasse, aber das neue Ding hier ist geil. Im MMR stand zwar auch was von wegen "nett so dolle", aber ich finds ziemlich prall. Dreckiger Sound, nicht mehr ganz so prolliger Gesang, eher auf die Glocke insgesamt. (b)

Ok, also: die Platte ist spitze und Pflicht und geht ab wie Drecksau. Kommst vom geilen Sound an die erste 7" ran, die mich richtig geflasht hat. Wer von den vier Jungs aus Schweden bislang noch nichts gehört hat - alles was mal in den frühen 80ern gerockt hat fällt mir da ein. Pflicht. (b)

Nach ner 7" hier die erste Lp der drei Ex-RIPCORD Leute aus England, die z.T. auch bei NAPALM DEATH und HERESY tätig waren. Mucke - jow schon phatter RIPCORD style, aber da RIPCORD zu einer meiner Fave Bands zählen muss ich sagen, das hier kommt z.b. an die "Poetic Justice" nicht ran. Ansonsten - schneller Thrash mit den für Baz bekannten superscheidigen Gitarren, der auch die "Who's Generation" 7" von HERESY so zeitlos geil gemacht hat. (b)

2 Bands aus Japan DIE = sehr Schweden beeinflusst, geht in Richtung DISCLOSE mit Grindparts. Als Gastsängerin: Minimaus. REALIZED tragen Sonnenbrillen auf den Livefoto´s und sind ganz fett, chaosgrind mit guten Crustenparts. FUCK ON THE BEACH sind wohl gerade so die Vorbilder in Japan. Leider mit Harmonizer auf Gesang, (gelegentlich) aber was soll´s. "Im Lautrer" gefällt´s (r)
