TANTRUM - The Frontier Bursts into View LP (Radar Swarm) 7.50 €
Ne andere Version von KNUT aus Frankreich :-). Echt geiler Sound (Recorded by Serge MORRATEL in Geneva at Rec. Studio (KNUT & SHORA)). (b)

TEAR IT UP - Just can't stand it LP (Deranged Records) 9.- €
Die erste Lp von den Thrashern. (b)

TEAR IT UP - Taking you down with me LP (Havoc) 8.- €

TEAR IT UP - Taking you down with me CD (Havoc) 8.- €
Nochmal 13 Songs dazu. (b)

TEMPERS RISE / LES ASESINOS DE LA SUPERFICIALIDAD - split LP (Coaltion und noch 5 andere Labels) 5.- €
Zwei Bands aus de Nederlands. L.A.D.L.S. iss derber noisiger Chaos Screamo. Jünger dieser Stilrichtung take notice - the shit's raging. Jep. Also eher die rockige Schiene hier, schrammlig, mit Emo und so. you know the deal - hab genuch Referenzen gedroppt. Erinnert mich sehr stark and ASSFACTOR 4 oder ähnliches. (r)

TERROR - Lowest of the low LP (Bridge Nine Records) 10.- €
Gelbes Vinly. (b)

TETSUGEKI SENSYA/FUDGE - split 7" (625 Thrashcore) 2.90 €

THE 244 GL - The Club Of Suns LP (Scorched Earth Policy) 6.- €

THE 244 GL - The Club Of Suns CD (Scorched Earth Policy) 6.- €

THE ASSISTANT - We'll make the roads by walking LP (Scene Police) 6.- €

THE AWESOME MACHINE - s/t CD (Ellington) 1.- €
"If you dig KYUSS, FU MANCHU and BLACK SABBATH, then you need to check this out!" steht auf dem Sticker auf der Cd und irgendwie stimmt das auch...Stoner Rock a.k.a. Wüstenreitermucke. (b)

THE BLACK HAND - Pulling your strings MCD (Ellington) 4.- €
Irgendwie zwischen alten CATHARSIS, HIS HERO IS GONE, DISMEMBER und BOLT-THROWER. (b)

THE BLACK HAND - Pulling your strings 10" (Scorched Earth Policy) 4.- €
Mein Monster Baby. Meine Chefs aus Kanada. Von mir schon überall abgefeiert, jedem/jeder aufgedrängt. Ok, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Das Cover und das Poster sind so 80iger Jahre Thrash-Metal. Endmies. Dafür ist die Mucke best off Neuziger Jahre Inferno. Mischung aus alten CATHARSIS, uptempo HIS HERO IS GONE und nem Basssound wie bei BOLT-THROWER. So phatt der Sound so phatttttttt. Typen von IRE/BORN DEAD ICONS. Pflichtscheibe... (b)

THE BLACK HAND - War Monger LP (Scorched Earth Policy) 5.- €
Leckerer 80ties thrash style haha... (b)

THE BLACK HAND - War Monger CD (Chainsaw Safety Records) 7.- €
Jow, die CD Fassung voner Lp. Details siehe LP Besprechung. (b)

THE CASSETTES - s/t LP (Day After) 6.- €
direkt vonner Lovitt Seite "The Cassettes' self-titled CD is at its core a pop album. Not that it relies on the ol' 1-4-5 formula at all. On this release, the quartet comprising former and current members of Frodus, Dead Meadow, and Weird War has surrounded its irresistible center with lush, layered vocals and slight elements of garage rock and psychedelia. The Cassettes steer away from former projects to shape raw, catchy gems guaranteed to stick in your head for a long time to come. Rock 'n' roll bite and electricity charge each attention-grabbing song on the album, and every track brims with relentless energy. This first full-length album by The Cassettes succinctly captures the sound of positive, unfettered youth. Refreshingly free of anything remotely melancholy, they rely on a thick sound of twin guitars anchored by an ambling bass line and driven beats. The Cassettes burst and crackle with animated abandon, alighting their album with one blistering track after another; it's uncommon and remarkable to witness a group come out of the gates with such unrestrained vigor. With heads bobbing and toes tapping, The Cassettes bring an exuberant vitality sadly lacking in much of the current music scene. This vitality recalls select themes found in the music of the Beatles, Todd Rundgren, and Badfinger and melds them into something fresh and striking. Critics and the casual listener alike will be undoubtedly and unabashedly captivated by The Cassettes' zeal and fervor." (b)

THE CRYSTAL COMMITEE - Forever Overhead LP (Strange Fruit) 4.- €

THE DEAD ONES - Demo 7" (Gloom Records) 2.90 €
Geilo. (b)

THE DEAD ONES - s/t LP (Gloom Records) 9.- €

THE DEAL / NO TURNING BACK - split 7" (Not Just Words) 2.- €
Das hier kommt hin: "In a time where even indierock or plain deathmetal are described as hardcore, both THE DEAL from Belgium and NO TURNING BACK from The Netherlands show how the real thing should be. THE DEAL take a modern approach, yet still keeping things raw and to the point, not unlike old American Nightmare and Count me Out. Influenced by bands such as Madball, Cro-Mags and Breakdown, NO TURNING BACK is heavily influenced by the old school of NYC hardcore. Fast and uptempo hardcore, including lots of stompin' breakdowns and heavy moshparts." (b)

THE DISASTER - Black and white and red all over LP (Assault Records) 6.- €

THE FARTZ - Because the world fucking stinks... LP (Alternative Tentacles) 9.- €
"Fartz were a punk band (from the U.K. I think? or was it the U.S.?) back in the 80s. Broke up in the mid-80s I think, and reformed in the 90s (releasing one 7" in 1990) and this CD contains pretty much everything they ever released - "Because This Fucking World Stinks LP" from 1981, "World Full Of Hate LP" from 1982 "You, We See You Crawling EP" from 1990 - 35 songs in all (hard to believe it all fits on one LP). Their sound is most reminiscent of mid-80s DC hardcore bands like Faith, Void and Scream and a little of oldschool So-Cal punk bands like RF7 and Circle One." Killt der Scheiss. (irgendwo gefunden)

THE FICTION - I Told Her That I Like Living in a Box LP (Level Plane) 7.50 €
"THE FICTION is a testament to the idea that three young men can still get together and rock without succumbing to unnecessary pretense or vapid ironic clichés; a rarity in independent music today. Hailing from three of the five boroughs of NYC, this band plays urgent, chaotic music; the kind of sounds that demand your heart and will not take "no" for an answer. LEVEL PLANE is proud to present the band's first full length release, I Told Her I Like Living in a Box. Featuring a SAETIA alumnus, THE FICTION'S relentless assault throws the listener's sensibilities straight back to early 1990's Gravity Records releases and captures the spirit and energy that many bands try to emulate but rarely execute. The band has been playing shows extensively in the northeast with labelmates HOT CROSS, TRANSISTOR TRANSISTOR and LICKGOLDENSKY. With extensive touring plans in the can for 2004, THE FICTION is ready to bring the proverbial noise to various unready audiences nationwide." (Info von Mordam)

THE FREEZE - Freak Show / Crawling blind CD (Dr.Strange Records) 8.- €
Zwei Platten auf einer CD von diesen Boston Rockern. (b)

THE GODINGS SAWED-OFF - s/t 7" (Too Circle Records) 3.90 €

THE HOLY MOUNTAIN - Bloodstains across your face LP (No Idea) 9.50 €
"Nine new songs to hold you over until the inevitable LP! That's right! It's a 12": way too many songs for a 7", not quite enough for an LP. Or you can call it "an LP for those with short attention spans". Either way, you get the equivalent of two chock-full-of-fury 7" records on one handy, convenient 12"... half the flipping, twice the noise! Go!! Evocative artwork jumps off the cover and smacks innocent bystanders, courtesy of Steak Mtn (Chris / CWV)! They even cover a CRASS song! Insanity!! Blistering hardcore in the vein of COMBATWOUNDEDVETERAN, TRAGEDY, BORN AGAINST, and FROM ASHES RISE (with a tip of the hat to Eighties punk & Japanese thrash)! THM is the new band founded by Dan (a.k.a. Ponch) from COMBATWOUNDEDVETERAN & members of THE BLACKOUT TERROR!! Over the course of CWV, Dan shifted between bass and vocals- in THM, he fills both roles full time!! Recorded by Mark Nikolich at Atomic Audio (FLOOR, COMBATWOUNDEDVETERAN) ...so you know it's brutalicious."

THE HOLY MOUNTAIN - Your Face In Decline 7" (No Idea) 3.50 €
"THM is the new band founded by Dan (a.k.a. Ponch)from Combat Wounded Veteran and members of The Blackout Terror!! Over the course of CWV, Dan shifted between bass and vocals in THM, he fills both roles full time!! Recorded by Mark Nikolich at Atomic Audio (Floor, Combat Wounded Veteran) ...so you know it’s brutalicious!! Blistering hardcore in the vein of Combat Wounded Veteran, Tragedy, Born Against, and From Ashes Rise (with a tip of the hat to Eighties punk & Japanese thrash)!"

THE HOOKERS - s/t LP (Cold Crush) 6.- €
"The Hookers were only a band for a little over six months. They played about five shows and recorded eight songs. Four of these tracks were later used as Murder City Devils' songs. Included are much more stripped down, organ-less versions of "Broken Glass," "Officer," "Boom Swagger Boom," and "Tell You Brother."" Hier spielte einer der Labelmacher von COLD CRUSH Bass - Derek Fudesco, der jetzt bei Pretty Girls Make Graves ist. Klingt auf ne coole Art schrottig/schrammelig. (b)

THE INSULTS - s/t 7" (Reagan Era Hardcore) 2.50 €

THE JAM SESSION - Att Skingra Det Mörker... LP (Crucificados) 6.- €
"Forget everything you have heard so far from one of swedens hottest bands .. the jam session is killing you with this new 12inch .. it is so fucking brutal .. no words can be found how good they are .. one of the best european bands currently .. longer and slower songs with more fucked up heaviness and more doom than ever .. the new songs sound like an mix of eyehategod neurosis and or isis .. no shit .. truly amazing .. it is sludgy .. it is so heavy .. violent apocalyptic hardcore with black melodies agony and love for black cats .. those new songs are definitively the best songs the jam session has ever done .. they are so fucking brutal and full of depression .. it is like an soundtrack for human self destruction .. all copies come on solid white vinyl with an amazing artwork done by mattias/tjs sticker and an inlay which is printed on a foil." von der Crucificados Seite.

THE JAM SESSION - Yellow Mica LP (Bridge Records) 6.- €

THE JAM SESSION - Yellow Mica CD (Bridge Records) 5.- €
SWITCHBLADE. (b)

THE KILL - Demo EP 7" (625 Thrashcore) 4.- €
Max meint: "Totally nuts grindcore from Australia. No joke, when my upstairs neighbor blasts dance music this is what I crank to 11 to tell him to shut the fuck up. Insanely fast grindcore that does not let up, recorded on 8 track so its fucking brutal. Serious mounds of crack being smokes on this one." (?)

THE KILLS - Black Rooster 12" (Dim Mak) 5.- €
Groovie. (b)

THE LAST MILE - Designed to compensate the lack of Motivation 7" (Optiate / USP) 1.50 €

THE LAST MILE - reflections the feroity of our thoughts 10" (Sabotage) 4.- €
HURRA !! (r)

THE LOCUST - Flight Of the Wounded Locust 7" (GSL) 4.50 €
Die zweite 7" der Keyboard Chaos Thrasher. Auf die Glocke. (b)

THE LOCUST - s/t LP (GSL) 8.50 €
Der erste Frontalangriff der Krawallbrüder aus Hochwasserhausen San Diego. Full on speed metal. (b)

THE MAD RATS - debut 7" (625 Thrashcore) 3.50 €

THE NOW-DENIAL - Truth is on fire LP (Flowerviolence / Scorched Earth Policy) 7.- €

THE NOW-DENIAL - Viva Viva Threatening LP (Scorched Earth Policy) 8.- €
Dreckiger, rauer, härter - was auch immer - einfach besser. (b)

THE OATH / TOTAL FURY - split 7" (Youth Attack) 6.50 €
"At long last, the most anticipated split record since 1982 (void/faith) is here! Torture your ears with the furious follow up to both The Oath's infamous 9" cacophony and Total Fury's blistering Committed To The Core 10". This record features all the standard Youth Attack perks: clear engraved vinyl without labels and an amazing full color vellum cover. As an added bonus, each band covers one another's most revered anthems. Killer! This is each bands most promising recordings, a definitive prelude to the Oath's forth coming LP and an honorable farewell to the legendary Total Fury drummer, Masashi! Buy! Description by Hanna Ahnqvist from Youth Attack. [This is a studio release, and should not be confused with the Oath/Total Fury - live 7". Sorry about the high price, but the covers were extremely expensive! First pressing 1,500 copies.]"

THE OLIVER TWIST - NEW TRICKS & TRAPS LP (X-Mist) 3.- €
Kurz reingehört - nervt mich zu arg - aber das meint X-Mist: "okay, due to our shitty financial situation we should not release another record right now - but when we did get sent these recordings and were asked to release it, we just could NOT resist! these 9 new tracks are by far surpassing anything these guys had ever recorded! musically there are similarities to this other german band ROBOCOP KRAUS, but the OLIVER TWIST's go one or more steps further here... sounding like a fresh & enthusiastic equivalent to the LES SAVY FAV or LIFTER PULLER and yes, their non-predictable approach to music even reminds me of the BIG BOYS (if i dare say so?) - and so we hope this will turn into a BIG SELLER and solve all our problems..." (?)

THE PROWL - Misery 10" (Dead Alive) 8.- €
Nach ner 7" auf Gloom, hier die 10er. "Influenced by depression, dementia, the dark sounds of bands like Samhain, TSOL, and the Damned, and fast, raw, early LA punk ala the Germs and the Adolescents, Western Mass' The Prowl return from the maelstrom of controversy surrounding their debut 7" with an 11 song full length that's hell bent on self loathing self destruction. Alternating between fast, gritty hardcore anthems and slow, atomospheric punk, "Misery" is a manic ride through a twisted mind. Turn the lights down low and close the door. The future is coming."

THE RED SCARE - s/t 7" (Paralogy) 3.- €

THE RED SCARE / TRUE NORTH - split 7" (Sound Virus) 3.- €

THE RITES - not fucking entertainment LP (Dead Alive) 8.- €

THE ROBOCOP KRAUS - Living with other People CD (Day After) 8.- €

THE SADDEST LANDSCAPE - The Sound of The Spectacle LP (Coptercrash) 7.- €
HEROIN, JOHN HENRY WEST, NAVIO FORGE all over the place. (b)

THE SADDEST LANDSCAPE / FUNERAL DINER - split 7" (Firewalkwithme) 2.- €

THE SCARLET LETTER - How is your heart? LP (Wasted Sounds) 7.50 €

THE SCARLET LETTER - How is your heart? CD (Black Matter Records) 10.- €
"Scarlet letter from New Jersey plays propagadhi likish melodic USHC. After a hole bunch of 7”es and split 7”es this is there Album debute. This is all better then the past material, both in the songs, recordings and well… Just everything. This LP comes with a four color A2 poster."

THE SOUND OF FAILURE - Distress Signal 7" (When Humans Attack) 1.90 €
Klar, sie bringen euch noch nen eigenen Touch mit rein, aber wie sagt der Ami so schön: this record has BORN AGAINST written all over it. Coolioooooooooo. (b)

THE SOUND OF FAILURE - The Party is Over LP (Ed Walters) 8.- €

THE SPROUTS - Pins and Sunglasses 7" (Sound Pollution) 3.50 €

THE STAKEOUT - On The Run LP (Deranged Records) 8.50 €
Rockt. (b)

THE STAKEOUT / BURNPILE - split LP (Six Weeks) 7.50 €
An den Drums der Sänger von SELFISH, just that you know. (b)

THE UNFINISHED SYMPATHY - An Investment In Logistics LP (Strange Fruit) 4.- €

THE VANISHING / SIXTEENS - split 12" (GSL) 6.50 €
"San Francisco trio THE VANISHING return to GSL with a follow-up to last year's Songs for Psychotic Children full-length. Fronted by former SUBTONIX sax player Jesse Eva, the band have amassed a growing cult of loyal fans, gripped by the band's sultry goth-dance rhythms and Eva's manic, unpredictable live presence. The San Francisco Bay Guardian, in describing the band's "exhilarating, synth-driven sound and visual stage show", insist that THE VANISHING "can't be written off as just goths", and that much is undeniable. Traces of GLASS CANDY, ADULT, SISTERS OF MERCY and THE BIRTHDAY PARTY hint at the band's versatility, and the brisk sales of Songs... suggests that they are indeed striking a chord amongst the disaffected pale-faced youth of America. A recent European tour and three-week residency in Berlin's avant-garde hotbed, Kreutzberg, may indeed be making them household names on other shores. THE VANISHING'S two new songs are back-to-back with the GSL debut of Berkeley's SIXTEENS, also a trio with an affinity for the darker side of life. Comparable to a synth-happy CHRISTIAN DEATH by way of SUICIDE, SIXTEENS have been playing around the Bay Area for the past few years, self-releasing a full-length album in the process. SIXTEENS contribute two songs."

THE WORST - Expect the Worst 7" (Reagan Era Hardcore) 2.90 €

THERE IS A LIGHT THAT NEVER GOES OUT - Ie LP (Dim Mak) 6.- €
YEARS, SHOTMAKER, TRUE NORTH, BREAD AND CIRCUITS. (b)

THEY LIVE - s/t LP (625 Thrashcore) 9.- €
Thrash hard. (b)

THINK I CARE - s/t LP (Dead Alive) 8.- €

THREATENER - The Fastening 7" (625 Thrashcore) 4.- €
If you can believe it, this 2nd EP is faster than the first....10 songs clocking in just over 4 minutes. Ear-wrecking manic fastcore than has like 2 fucking slow parts on the whole record. Be prepared to get your teeth kicked in.

THREE MINUTE POETRY - Slowly learing that love is ok LP (Defiance Records) 4.50 €

THREE MINUTE POETRY - Slowly learing that love is ok CD (Defiance Records) 2.- €
Sweeter Emo Pop. (b)

TIME SQUARE PREACHERS - don't be dumb 7" (Your Own Jailers) 1.60 €
Schweden HC volle ins Gesicht.

TO DIE FOR - Virusinfectioncontroll CD (Heroin Records) 4.- €
Bissel KISS IT GOODBYE style ab und an.... Doch: insgesamt cooler Stuff... CONVERGE (aber nich zu arg), KISS IT GOODBYE orientiert... (b)

TO HELL AND BACK - Messed up b/w American Taliban 7" (Colation Records) 1.90 €

TO WHAT END? - and history... 7" (Yellow Dog) 2.50 €

TO WHAT END? - The Purpose Beyond LP (Stonehenge) 7.- €

TO WHAT END? - The Purpose Beyond CD (Crime Against Humanity Records) 7.- €
"Really awesome Swedish hardcore / Crust with male / female vocals. Really brutal yet more melodic than the bands like Wolfpack which this features current members of. This is really awesome and I love this band. Other members in this band were / are in Burning Kitchen, Second Thought, Disculpa, Skeletor, Wolfpack, Moment Maniacs, Sunday Morning Einsteins, and Bruce Banner. In other words. 'Supergroup' comes to mind." (?)

TOMORROW - Chiedi Troppo CD (Answers) 9.- €
Geiler Japan Thrashcore, eventuell bekannt von diversen Compilations (HYSTERIA, MOSH CIRCLE, JERK PUNKS) - "A combination of Japanese and Brazilian thrash. Obviously an explosive mixture. Chaotic, lively, and somehow tight. Excellent disc from start to finish. Viva Tomorrow!"

TOMORROW - Nuovo PuNto Di PartenZa CD (Answers) 9.- €
Japanese political thrash punk, a discography CD in 7inch packaging.

TOMORROWS GONE - s/t 7" (Element records) 2.50 €

TOTAL FURY - Commited to the core 7" (Busted Head) 2.- €
Schule. Mir gefällt's natürlich auch. (b)

TOTAL JÄVLA MÖRKER / THEY FEAR THE RECLAIM - split 7" (Arson Records) 1.90 €
Gut gespielt, kickt. Neben Texten gibts noch ein paar Gedanken zu "Anarchism and the Ethics of Sexuality and Relationship" und werbung für anarchitische Kollektive. (b)

TOUCHXDOWN - Reach for the top demo 7" (Malfunction) 3.90 €
"You've seen crucial edge dudes sporting their shirts for years, now you can finally hear the band! Basically, for those of you not into obscure hardcore enough to know, Touch Down was a short-lived straight edge band from DC from the late 80's who played hardcore of that time period as if they were piecing their songs together from a "how-to" youth crew manual. Don't get me wrong, despite the generic nature of this music (well, to be fair, it is generic to the ears of someone growing up now but back then it was cutting edge I suppose) this band was extremely energetic and had some catchy tunes. This shit will make you want to throw a Project X shirt over a hoodie and do some dives off of your TV onto your sofa, dude! What's cool about this record is that side a contains a fairly good copy of the rare three-song demo (there are a lot of bad dubs in circulation) while sibe b has three songs from a live set at the legendary Anthrax club that don't appear on the demo. My only complaints about the record - side b ends with the band going into "Tied Down" by NA but the record just fades out and ends. To be fair, I didn't buy this to hear NEgative Approach covers, and I also realize that vinyl can only hold so many minutes of music, but don't lead the listener on like that! I did feel better though when I looked at the layout and noticed this thing was mastered by Issa from GCF, so I'll just blame him. Also, speaking of the layout, it is pretty slick over all with some sweet live pics, but the song order is mixed up on the lyric sheet and there are words missing from the short write-up about the band. Pick this shit up, cause it is selling extremely fast!"

TRAGEDY - s/t CD (Tragedy Records) 11.20 €
Cd version der schon legendären LP der Band nach HIS HERO IS GONE. (r)

Aber trotzdem alle 20 Thumps up! (b)

TRANSISTOR TRANSISTOR / WOLVES - split LP (Level Plane) 8.50 €
"Two of New England's finest come together on one 12" to show that there is more to the northeast than cold weather and hip urban sprawl. Western Massachussettesâ WOLVES team up with New Hampshire's TRANSISTOR TRANSISTOR to bring you eight tracks of chaos and punk rock bliss. WOLVES makes their debut on Level-Plane with these 4 songs of technical and driving hardcore that is calculated while remaining emotive and warm and unpredictable. The band features members of hardcore legends ORCHID and pushes an original modern sound with all the sincerity of their previous releases on COALITION RECORDS. TRANSISTOR TRANSISTOR are no strangers to the Level-Plane camp, having already released a 12" and a split 12" with Virginia's LIGHT THE FUSE AND RUN. The band is recently returned from a marathon touring schedule which took them all over the continental US, Canada and Europe, where their brand of snotty and sassy punk rock has won the hearts of hardcore enthusiasts young and old. Fans of early BLOOD BROTHERS should take note. Both bands play out regularly and have a loyal fan base both nationally and internationally. This release presents two different flavors of modern hardcore from two intense and very active bands."

TRAPDOOR FUCKING EXIT - s/t LP (Bridge Records) 3.- €

TRUE NORTH - Somewhat Similar LP (No Idea) 7.50 €
"Somewhat Similar" finds True North pushing their limits of their distinctive sound, once dubbed the future of hardcore by Maximum RockNRoll Magazine. Featuring ex-members of Twelve Hour Turn, Asshole Parade, and Palatka. The music pulses and builds, creating a fluctuating structure capable of unexpected twists. Details come through without drowning in the din, woven through melodic passages, innovative drumming, and a blend of powerhouse guitars. Have toured repeatedly with Blood Brothers, Orchid, Lightning Bolt, Red Light Sting, and tons more."

TRUST NO ONE - You’ve been warned CD (Eulogy) 3.- €
Metallischer Old School Hardcore mit Sing-a-longs. Recht Tough Guy mässig. (b)

TWELVE HOUR TURN - Perfect progress, perfect destruction LP (No Idea) 6.- €

TWENTY THIRD CHAPTER - an eden for the machines CD (Ohev) 5.- €
Guter abklatsch von HIS HERO IS GONE, aber nicht peinlich. Kommt mit Comic-illustrationen, echt schön. (r)

TWISTED ROOTS - Twisted Roots LP (Bacchus Archives) 8.- €
Aggro from back in the day, TWISTED ROOTS surfaced in 1981 from the dying members of the original LA punk scene. Spearheaded by former Nina Hagen and SCREAMERS keyboardist Paul Roessler, ex-GERMS, guitarist Pat Smear, and joined by singer Maggie Ehrig, drummer Emil McKown, and bassist Kira, TWISTED ROOTS was notable not only for it's wildly creative, all-over-the-map Punk music, but also for it's members later contributions to other well-known bands. Pat Smear later went on to join NIRVANA and The FOO FIGHTERS and both Kira and Emil went on to stints with BLACK FLAG. Paul and Kira both played with Mike Watt; Kira in the bass duet band DOS and Paul in the duo CRIMONY, as well as Watt's power trio, THE SECONDMEN. Included here is the band' three song 1981 EP; a track released on the Rodney on the Roqs compilation, and various other previously unreleased songs culled from four tracks and cassettes. While TWISTED ROOTS' pedigree may be impressive, it's utterly unique music is equally so. From straight out thrashers like "James Bondage", to Public Image-esque tracks like "Pretty White House" or "Are There Cobwebs on My Face", to poppy confections like "Mommy's Always Busy in the Kitchen" and "The Yellow One," TWISTED ROOTS seemed capable of just about any musical direction. Unfortunately, it wasn't capable of staying together for more than a year. Another piece of LA punk rock history that stands on it's own in the Bacchus Archives catalog!"
