NAILBITTER - Abused LP (Hardcore Holocaust) 7.50 €
Das Cover sieht aus als wenn man es sich direkt auf der Kühlerhaube seines Opel mantas airbrushen lassen müsste :-) Mucke iss geilo in meinen Ohren - man bin ich kritisch haha... ne... Japcore meets D-beat, also? was wird sein. "Brutal yet intricate Scandinavian meets Japanese styled hardcore that's based in the UK, with members from Brazil and Italy. Their sound can be broken down into a large dose of DEATHSIDE and ANTI CIMEX with a bit of MOTORHEAD influences, which creates undeniably unique lead filled devastation!! On "Abused" NAILBITER tread the peak of punishing hardcore with an epic burning edge and dementedly harsh vocals, creating an album which stands on it's own, while bringing to mind greats of the past. This is their 1st album after a split 7"ep with Finland's VIIMEINEN KOLONNA and a split LP with Spain's DESTRUCCION. 7 songs (includes an ANTI CIMEX cover)." (b)

NARZISS - Ebenbilder vs. Hope Dies - Gatefold LP (IC-Recordings) 6.- €
Dummdidumm -> dat meinte jemand zu Hope Dies, plus halt noch die ebenbilder mcd iss hier mit drauf, farbiges Vinyl auch am start... "Die Jungs aus Jena schließen die Lücke zwischen den (verblichenen) Loxiran, Aclys und Caliban, ohne je-doch ein peinliches Plagiat zu sein oder ihre eigene Identität zu verlieren. Was letztlich in musikalischer Hin-sicht bedeutet, dass die 9 Songs, die alle Hitcharakter besitzen, mit deutschen Texten, mit variablem und aggressivem Schreigesang vorgetragen werden. Extrem kraftvoller, teils metallischer New-School HC, der mit viel Herzblut und Spielwitz zelebriert wird. Melodische Elemente und groovende Mosh-Parts kommen ebenso nicht zu kurz, was den Songs in Sachen Abwechslung sehr zugute kommt." (?)

NEIL PERRY - s/t Picture-Disc 7" (Witching Hour) 4.- €
Drei mal Chaos-Screamo-Frontal-Angriff und ein etwas längerer sehr chilliger Song auf der B-Seite machen diese 7" aus. Sowohl das eine wie das andere können was. Und jo, ne schöne Picture Disc, die limitiert sein soll. Bin nicht so drin in Neil Perry, und auch zu faul danach zu googeln, ob's die auch als normale 7" gibt. Nerds werdens wissen. Aber doch - sweet. (b)

NEIL PERRY / JOSHUA FIT FOR BATTLE - split LP (Level Plane) 8.- €
Zu faul mir die Platte anzuhören, hör lieber AC/DC, aber das hier meint Ebulltion: "On this record, emo violence meets screamo, mosh, and metal with a short visitation from freakdom. Joshua Fit For Battle provides the violence, the mosh, and the metal with some emo in the mix for good measure. Their sound is straight forward and hard hitting. Neil Perry is going for the out there thing, but they couple it with some catchy songs and they don't let their artistic side turn them into assholes. When they hit a solid groove they really make the most of the screamo genre." Geil oder? (b)

NET WEIGHT - s/t LP (Mala Raza) 5.- €
Astreiner Spaniencore (die Band iss von Mallorca), der mich wieder etwas an LOS CRUDOS erinnert, aber mit nem Touch ZANUSSI würd ich sagen, hier und wird gut gethrashed. Sound ist spitze, Gesang geil, insgesamt superaggressiv, scheidende Gitarren, coole Riffs. Geht ins Blut. Soll ihr dritter Output sein, weiss nur von ner split 7" mit BAD TASTE. Cool. (b)

NEW BRUTALISM - A Record Of American Fury LP (Code Of Ethics) 4.- €
Rockiger, vertrackter, noisiger Shit mit coolen Gesang. Hier sind ehemalige Leute von THE RED SCARE und momentane Mitglieder von AUTONOMY VS. SHAME am Start. Bissel so die SHELLAC und BIG'N Schiene. (b)

NEWBORN - In these Desperate days... 7" (Natural High Records) 2.90 €
So, noch ein paar reinbekommen von dieser 7". Irgendwie wurd ich schon öfter gefragt, ob ich noch paar besorgen könnte. Yo, könnten die letzten Kopien sein. Mittlerweile sind grosse Teile der Band als BRIDGE TO SOLACE bekannt oder eben von ihrer split Lp mit CATHARSIS. Melodischer Ungarn Metalcore. (b)

NIHILISTICS - s/t LP (Mad At The World) 8.50 €
Rerelease der kultigen, ersten Nihilistics LP im Orginalartwork und mit Booklet. 20 simple, brutale NYC Hardcore Fetzer mit "Fuck the human race"-Attitude. Hab ich als Original Im Schrank stehen ;-) (b)

NILE - In Their Darkened Shrines 2xLP (Relapse) 15.- €
True Metal. "For a millennium Egypt was one of the premier civilizations on the Earth, and the Nile was the lifeblood of the kingdom(s). NINE DAYS WONDER - The Scenery is the Disguise there LP (Dim Mak) 5.- €
Die erste Lp des Trios aus Tokyo, schon was älter aber guter noisiger Emo/Rock Stuff. Mix aus alten JESUS LIZARD und UNWOND, gepaart mit etwas ENGINE DOWN und späten SLEEPY TIME TRIO. Wer auf so was kann, der bekommt ne gute Lp. (b)

NK 6 - Keep on Keeping On LP (Deranged Records) 9.- €
Hailing from Japan, NK 6 dish out nine blasts of hard hitting hardcore. The style is pretty classic Japanese thrash with a bit of melody and a crazed approach (would you expect anything less?!). Complete GAUZE worship at work and just so happens that Fugu from Gauze produced this little gem. (?)

Ne etwas ältere Lp der Band aus San Diego. Klingt wie ne Mischung aus MISSION OF BURMA und DRIVE LIKE JEHU. Nette hintergrundmusik zu entspannen. (b)

NO KNIFE - Riot For Romance LP (Day After) 5.- €
Rockt so lalalala vor sich hin die Platte. Schönes Wetter-Mucke. Dicke kraftvolle Produktion. (b)

NO KNIFE / NINE DAYS WONDER - split LP (Nova Recordings) 4.- €
NDW sind mir flüchtig bekannt.... klingen hier ganz ok, eher halt diese ruhige Emo Variante ohne Schreigesang mit vielen unverzehrten Gitarrenparts.... aus Japan hab ich so was bislang noch nicht gehört, aber es gibt für alles ein erstes Mal.....Frühlingsmucke... NO KNIFE sind aber die bessere Variante davon... Auch so Lalalalala, aber halt mit mehr Hit-charakter... (b)

NO PARADE - Ceaseless Fire LP (Partners in Crime) 9.50 €
Fifteen tracks of powerful but catchy hardcore from No Parade. The style is similar to From Ashes Rise or Tragedy, and in fact No Parade features members of From Ashes Rise. The music is harsh and hard hitting with screamed vocals, but the melodic underbelly keeps the songs memorable and almost pleasant. Even better than their debut 7". (?)

"this is no holds barred hardcore...like damaged era BLACK FLAG meets DISCHARGE... not thrash. features three members of FROM ASHES RISE... great lyrics and production... AWESOME." (?)

"JAPANESE THRASHING CRUST-VIOLENCE. HYPER FAST WITH A MEAN, CHAOTIC EDGE!"

NO TIME LEFT - s/t 10" (625 Thrashcore) 7.- €
Der Herr vom Label meint: "This new 10" surprised the hell out of me (tops their debut EP by far)... a mix of fast youth crew with blazing guitar leads, fast hardcore and even some gritty punk rock... topped off with good lyrics. Featuring ex-members of every band that has ever come from Buffalo. Going on tour this summer..." Jo, also gleich vorweg, lässt die 7" weit hinter sich, klingt wesentlich tighter, und wie Max die Mischung beschreibt, bringt es auf den Punkt. Zu den Texten gibt’s noch mal jeweils eine kurze Ausführung. Bin auch bissel überrascht muss ich sagen. (b)

NO WARNING - Ill Blood LP (Bridge Nine Records) 10.- €
Hell yeah - geiler Scheiss. NO WARNING kommen aus Toronto. Ihre 7" war ganz okay (nur einmal kurz gehört), aber der Sound hier iss phatter als ein Elephantenarsch. Irgendwie perfektionieren sie den NYHC Sound von CRO MAGS und MADBALL, aber im Gegensatz zu MADBALL gefällt mir hier der Gesang sehr gut, wirkt irgendwie nicht aufgesetzt und wenn ich CRO MAGS schreib, dann mein ich nicht das was nach der ersten LP rausgekommen ist. Nun gut - was Neues gekommt man hier nicht zu hören, aber das was sie machen, machen sie sehr sehr gut. Das Ding knallt. (b)

Schräger HC mit driver und keyboard, klingt wie langsame MILEMARKER mit BOTCH-einlagen. Atmosphärisch und powervoll. (r)
